The "thing" Andy saddled me with (by way of Abbey) is no joke. Add seasonal allergies, and I sound like a pug! Even with being encumbered with these challenges, taking the Mekinst at night is a game-changer! I don't know why we didn't think of it.
Well, I do know why. We eat dinner late, and by waiting two hours after food, I'd be up going to bed later than I like, and my previous biorhythms were to wake up around 4:30 am to use the bathroom, and dosing at 4:30 seemed logical. Dinner can always be earlier, and drinking 60-90 oz of water daily (per Yale Pharmacy), a 4:30 am bathroom break comes much earlier. A week in, we haven't mastered earlier dinner, but the micro-fridge upstairs makes night dosing easier.

With the Mekinist having a window of eight hours where it actively kills tumor cells, (I like to think of it somewhere between The Cavern of the Evil Wizard [Big] and Pac Man), and the other 16 hours is recovery, night dosing, followed by sleep is the answer. I'm optimistic once I get over the sick hump, the new regimen will help me live a more normal life.
I think this change is a great idea. Not a doctor, but I believe sleep time is best for body recovery and restorative affects - so that might be optimal for the medication to be administered. Also ... was awestruck at the shiplap work - so impressive. Whatta nice surprise that must've been when you returned home. Happy May !
Sending positive Saturday thoughts Sarah! 💗Take care, Pamela & Bill
