On this overcast and rainy afternoon - I am in my new happy place, my writing studio! It might be chilly outside, but my stylish space heater is cranking away, turning my dwelling into a comfortable 71*.

Abbey started this whole thing with the suggestion of a studio following my brain tumor diagnosis and then selected the structure she thought best suited me. It didn't come with electrical or insulation and It was a major effort on all sides to coordinate and execute site work, electrical, insulation, and installation of shiplap and flooring. As time ground on and Abbey and Patrick's schedules filled with their day jobs, Dad's hours in the building to complete the project increased.

My job remains easy - install electrical plates, continue to pick out items to enhance the place, and be creative. Hopefully, the latter won't come as too much of a challenge, but it somehow feels like there is a larger weight to write something of note, certainly more than what I felt when my office was in my bedroom, and I was trying to write a screenplay to change history.

As Taylor Swift says, "shake it off." I will try to do what I've always done and focus on the story.
