... a rainbow pillbox. I thought this was a long way off, a day-of-the-week pillbox that separates times of day. At 41, it turns out the future is here. The box contents don't even include my oral chemotherapy, which must be kept in the refrigerator! While managing multiple pills doesn't seem (and is not) fun, this box reflects hope.

At the start of this journey, I added the naturopath to my healthcare team. In addition to moving dosing times of particular supplements to interfere with my morning and evening doxycycline, she suggested milk thistle and glutathione for liver protection. When I called Yale Pharmacy to get their blessing, they heartily endorsed them for their chemo-protective properties. Further, my oncologists noted that while there are not any articles in peer-reviewed publications to support the chemo-protective claims of milk thistle and glutathione, they support me taking them. So far, liver enzymes are great. Here's hoping these additions help keep me and my liver healthy as I'm looking at long-term chemo.
