The long weekend was full of surprises. John was on schedule to work half a day on Saturday and I wasn't sure when he'd be down. Fortuneatly, since his job is fully remote, he packed up his workstation and came down on Friday night and was able to work half a day from Abbey's where there is a superb Innternet connection.
Teacher friend, Janet, was vacationing in her own state, exploring the area, so we got to spend Saturday morning together. This spilled into an afternoon of Scrabble and coffee with Mom. Then, fully taxed, I needed a nap and was sleeping when John got back to the homestead. This offered an opportunity for him and Janet to connect since they both love cycling and photography. We had an early family dinner so I can stay on time with the two-hour delay leading up to my 10 pm chemo.
Sunday was more rest and Scrabble. (My mind is finally coming back.) John and I ducked out for a quiet date night, and my Dad snuck into the writing studio and finished setting up the very Sarah overhead light. This was day two of his efforts, as it took many hours to assemble. Had I known assembly would require doing this on a ladder above your head, I would have selected something MUCH easier. But it was a choice back in February, and he fully embraced it. I love the chandelier, and it fits perfectly with the decor. Now, I must get the pictures and words of inspiration up.

I love your chandelier! It’s so pretty! - Teacher Janet. 😉
I had such a blast vacationing in the town near you so I could see you most of Saturday! Very nice to met John and catch up with the fam too!
Thank you for these posts. I'm certain I speak for all when I say you are on our minds. Every morning when I have a loose eyelash, I blow on it and make a wish to your good health. This site keeps us up to date and I'm grateful. That said, I love your chandelier! And I'm happy for your Holiday wkend which brought you some nice surprises. Chandelier - 16 pts on a Scrabble board, unless you put it on double word score. ; ) Love you.
