After waiting over three months, I wa finally able to see Dr. Franklin Brown... at 8:30 am, with a 1.5 hour drive. Dad and I opted to stay close to the Yale, Guilford campus. (Pictured below is from a marina that is by my dad's old office.)

The tests today was similar to tests I've had before to test to show I have a learning disability. Some (many) of the tests were new, and designed to see how my cognition is. It is far from where I want it to be, in fact things that were once easy (like memory and word recall) are a challenge. This is in part from the tumor location and part from the chemo. Dr. Brown initial steps like, sleep, excercise, diet, but will provide more detailed ideas in my electronic medical record (EMR). He reminded me to be patient with the radiation; things will become more of a challenge, even after radiationis over, but my brain will recover in about a year. (Recovery may look different than today, but the state of my mental aquity is not locked into what it will be come next November.)
Glad to hear there is hope for recovery in a year! 🙏🏻
