It’s Been A While 12/7/2021

Sarah was doing tremendously well recovering from radiation and then she started to feel worse. She was struggling with her eye, it wants to turn out to the side, and her balance, some of her short term memory was off and she was awake about 7 hrs a day. Drs. believe this is a reaction to the radiation which happens sometimes and is more likely in people who have NF1.

On December 2, Sarah began an immuno therapy infusion that will

help reduce the irritation in her brain. Since the infusion her eye has improved tremendously and is again looking where it’s supposed to. She is brighter and less exhausted every day.

This experience has reminded us yet again that life can be finite and she is working away on writing and sleeping to maximize her use of time.

Last night Sarah and I were discussing funerals and how the pictures are so wonderful but the person featured throughout never gets to enjoy them with their friends and family. So we are asking if you have pictures of you and Sarah that you would like to share please email them to sarahjmedical@gmail.com where we can compile a folder and she can look at and enjoy them all. I will create some sort of slide show and make it accessible to everyone. If you want to give any background information to the pictures we would love that. Sarah is thinking of all her people near and far.
