On January 9, Sarah got up, had her breakfast and was about to start writing in her apartment at our house. Moments after entering her apartment (through a door off our kitchen) she had a tonic—clonic seizure. Our children who were with her at the time started screaming for us and when I ran in it lasted maybe another 10 - 15 seconds. She recovered quickly and I called the on call Dr who wanted Sarah checked out at the ER. After a CT scan showing no bleed had occurred (she hit her head on a wall on the way down) we were released. Our children were given the task of packing snacks while we waited for the ambulance, so here is Sarah frothing milk for coffee outside the ER. In true Auntie Sarah fashion she new the names of two of the EMTs, that they were married, and where they worked all by the time I met the ambulance at the hospital.
Drinking coffee while doing some writing myself right now. Please let Sarah know my MRI got the all clear - no acoustic neuroma - looking forward to sharing a cup with her.
Hi Sarah and Abbey! Thinking of you. I also sent you a couple of text messages. I adore you Sarah and your pic. 💟
That’s so funny about the EMTs. She made a point to tell me this June when we ate lunch at Maggie’s to get to know the names of your servers and build rapport with them. You get better service and they feel appreciated because you took the time to talk with them. ☺️ When I see this photo it cracks me up. Despite all she’s going through, she’s got spunk! (Quoting Lou Grant in MTM!)
Love you Sarah! - Janet
She does look lovely--and brave. Sounds like she has a brave and responsible niece and nephew too!
